Title: Dri­ver

Job Sum­ma­ry: Dri­ver reports direct­ly to the Direc­tor of Com­mis­sary Oper­a­tions. Per­forms rou­tine duties asso­ci­at­ed with the deliv­ery of food for schools and cor­po­rate accounts. This posi­tion requires heavy con­tact with both col­leagues and cor­po­rate clients, so strong com­mu­ni­ca­tion and cus­tomer ser­vice skills are a must. The right can­di­date will have a pas­sion for food and a pos­i­tive atti­tude to ensure the return of our cus­tomers — the rea­son for our busi­ness.

Essen­tial Duties and Areas of Respon­si­bil­i­ty

  • Arrives to work on time with a clean uni­form
  • Works close­ly with kitchen staff to coor­di­nate what items are being deliv­ered
  • Helps get food into prop­er con­tain­ers for deliv­ery
  • Fills out time and tem­per­a­ture logs for each loca­tion
  • Deliv­ers food in a time­ly man­ner
  • Works well with all team mem­bers at each site
  • Report dai­ly recap to man­age­ment
  • Cus­tomer ser­vice with cus­tomers at schools and busi­ness accounts
  • Prob­lem solv­ing and for­ward think­ing
  • Must feel com­fort­able deliv­er­ing food to cor­po­rate accounts
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds

    • Main­tains a clean dri­ving record
    • Under­stands and fol­lows all motor vehi­cle laws while dri­ving a com­pa­ny vehi­cle
    • Uses prop­er form when lift­ing pro­duct
    • Fol­lows ServeSafe and Food Han­dlers stan­dards regard­ing food and safe­ty
  • San­i­ta­tion
    • Wash and san­i­tize the inte­ri­or of the truck at least once a week or when nec­es­sary
    • Wash­es out­side of truck once a week, or when need­ed
    • Main­tains per­son­al hygiene and tidy appear­ance
