Our Dead of Winter Spiced Butter lends itself to many different uses. Made with warm spices, honey, and dark brown sugar, it’s delicious on toast, pancakes, or waffles.
But in the midst of the coldest part of the year, there is no better use for it than Hot Buttered Rum!
We use Dead Drop Dark Rum with a garnish of freshly grated Frontier Nutmeg. Enjoy after a long day of fun in the snow.

Recipe fits in a standard 11 oz Mug
1-1/2 oz Dead Drop Dark Rum
2 tbsp Dead of Winter Spiced Butter
1 cup hot boiling water
- Put water on to boil
- While you’re waiting place the butter and rum in a mug
- Once the water is boiling, fill the mug and stir until the butter is completely melted
- Using the fine side of a box grater or a microplane, grate a bit of nutmeg on top
