Local Foods stocks only products created or grown in three ways:
Locally-Sourced: Products created within 350 miles of Chicago which can be trucked to the city in a single day.
Locally-Processed: Products created from ingredients which don’t grow in our area (like coffee) but are processed here.
Beyond Local: Products from outside our region (like avocados) which are sourced from single suppliers and ethical producers.

In May of 2002, Dave & Carolee Rapson moved to Hawkeye, Iowa to pursue a dream of starting their own dairy farm. For Carolee, it was the preservation of a family legacy. For Dave, it was the evolution of a love for dairy farming discovered at the age of 17.
In September of 2011, they built a new state-certified creamery on their farm. Now, the creamery pumps farm-fresh rBST-free milk less than 200 feet from the milk house to make their signature product: all natural, creamy, and delicious farmstead yogurt.
All of Country View Dairy’s yogurt varieties are made from low fat (1%), Grade A pasteurized milk from their own healthy and well-loved cows. Their milk is non-homogenized, allowing the cream to rise to the top the old-fashioned way, with the added benefit of making it easier to digest. Each flavor is made with the highest quality ingredients and cultures, and each is “all natural” in every way: no preservatives, no gelatin or thickeners, and no artificial ingredients. Their yogurt is always gluten-free.
